Betty Irene (Hoffheins) Fortney

    Betty Irene (Hoffheins) Fortney passed away Monday June 6, 2022 after a long and well lived life.  She was born to Ernest and Mae (Wise) Hoffheins on December 21, 1929
     Survivors include her children, Coleen (deceased) Mike McAfee, Sher (Ed) deceased Tankersley, Deb (Garry) Lehman, Craig (Linda), Sue Weaver, Michael, and Sally (Pa...t) Lucero. She has 16 grandchildren, Dedra Fausnaugh, David Fausnaugh, Stephanie Fausnaugh,Corey Lehman, Tony Lehman (deceased), Shelly Lane, Tiffany Snyder, Joshua Snyder, Rachel Graff, Shannon Tafoya, Cameron Fortney, Dylan Fortney, Christopher Weaver, Clayton Weaver, Brittany Lucero, Aaron Lucero. She had 19 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
     Betty was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, daughter Coleen, grandson Tony, Brother and sister-in-law Donald and Bonnie Hoffheins, very good friend Arthur Harvey and many more.
     We were so blessed to have had her this long. She was a wonderful woman and an amazing Mom. If there was something we needed she was there.  She enjoyed listening to music, visiting with family and sitting on the porch in the sun swinging and singing to Merle Haggard, George Strait and many other great artists. Mom worked many years at the mall for Village Book and Hallmark and Tinnin Enterprise on Broadway Ave.  She will be greatly missed by all but never forgotten. She was surrounded by family at the time of passing.
     There will be a viewing on Wednesday June 15 from 10 am to 11 am at Brewer Lee and Larkin funeral home 103 E. Ute St.  Graveside service will be at Memory Gardens 6917 E.Main St.  Farmington NM/  Pastor Corely of College Heights Baptist Church officiating.
