Sallie Elizabeth Ullo

September 27, 1928 — March 5, 2018

Sallie Elizabeth McHan Ullo, 89, passed from this life on March 5, 2018
in Farmington, New Mexico surrounded by her family.
Elizabeth was born September 27, 1928 in Hamburg, Arkansas
to State Wright McHan and Hazel Amanda Morrow.
Her parents and older brother, James Bearl McHan, predeceased her.

Elizabeth grew up in rural Arkansas where a trip to town in a
horse drawn wagon was a rare occurrence, highlighted by a treat
of bologna and bottled coca-cola enjoyed in the back room of the
general store.
As a young woman, she was employed in a similar type store,
where she became acquainted with a young oil field worker,
Robert Ullo, who passed by almost daily. After a short courtship,
Robert and Elizabeth were married on February 3, 1950 in Beaumont, Texas.
In 1957, they moved their family to Farmington, New Mexico, making that
their permanent home. Elizabeth enjoyed traveling and always looked forward
to family reunions and visits with children, grandchildren, cousins, aunts,
and uncles. She enjoyed various hobbies such as crocheting, was always ready
for a shopping trip to the mall--and she LOVED to fish.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert Ullo; one son and
daughter-in-law, Larry and Gwen Ullo of Farmington; one daughter,
Irene Hancock of Nashville, TN; four grandchildren, Michael Ullo of
Austin, TX; Amanda Ullo of Farmington; Chris Edwards of Dallas, TX;
Kelly Roley of Nashville, TN; and eight great-grandchildren.

A private family memorial will be held at graveside with interment at
Greenlawn Cemetery, Farmington, NM. Arrangements have been
entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St.,
in Farmington. (505)325-8688. You may share condolences with the
