Robert Crum

Robert Roy Crum, age 71 of Fruitland passed away April 2, 2019 at SJRMC. "Bob" was a fifty year resident of San Juan County. He was born July 12, 1947 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Thomas Roy Crum, Jr and Elaine Richardson.

He was the oldest son with two brothers and 2 sisters to follow. In 1959, his father passed away and his widowed mother lived in Animas, New Mexico for the next 3 years. In 1962 Elaine met and married Marion Farnsworth and the family moved to Fruitland and combined with Marion and his 6 children. He attended Middle School and High School in Kirtland and graduated in 1966 in the same class with his younger sister Gaylee. Bob served an LDS mission in the Salinas California Mission for 2 and 1/2 years. In 1969 he met and married Bonnie Harris from Red Mesa. Their son Michael was born in 1979 to complete their family. Bob worked for the county road office in Blanding and Monticello until about 1981 when they moved to Fruitland. Bob was an excellent mechanic and worked for the Central Cons. School district for some years before his retirement.

He is survived by his son Michael; 2 sisters, Gay Lee Bond and Linda Dunlap; 6 brothers, Scott Farnsworth, Richard Crum, Lane Farnsworth, Steve Farnsworth, Jay Crum, Lamar Farnsworth, and Brent Farnsworth.

Bob was a very humble, quiet man and never wanted to be the center of attention. He loved his son, Michael who was the light of his life. He will be sorely missed by his son and his siblings, nieces and nephews whom he adored.
