Nathel Lee (curly) Sampson 86 of Farmington passed away August 25th, 2023, in Farmington, New Mexico. She was born August 26th, 1936, in Crockett, Texas to her parents Rufus Cooper and Eva Cooper.
Nathel attended school in Crockett, Texas. She was a housekeeper and housewife. She retired and she and Harl moved to Farmington, New Mexico in 1975 and became a full-time housewife and pioneer in the Farmington Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Harl and Nathel served as ministers mainly on the Navajo Reservation, covering Sheep Springs, Lukachukia to Dennehotso. Because of her tireless ministry and Bible teachings over the years she became affectionately known as the wife of Harl (Black Moses) among the Navajo People.
