Gerald LeRoy Anderson, 87, of Farmington, NM passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024. He was born in Parsons, KS on November 8, 1936 to Coburn and Helen Anderson. His family eventually settled in Denton Valley Texas.

He loved his family and would do anything for them.  He was very proud of his home and kept his yards in immaculate condition.  He never could sit still, always involved with a project.

Gerald graduated from Eula (TX) High School in 1955 and married Anna Jean Farmer on August 13, 1955.  They were married for 68 years. They moved from Abilene, TX to Farmington in 1960 where Gerald went to work for El Paso Natural Gas as a measurement technician and retired in 1996 after 35 years of service.

Gerald was proceeded in death by his infant daughter Vickie Jean, his parents Coburn and Helen Anderson and granddaughter Autumn Anderson VanBuskirk.

He leaves behind his wife Anna Jean, son Larry (Lynda) of Farmington; daughter Tracey (Bill) Eaves of Farmington; daughter Jackie (Joel) Lippe of Tucson, AZ; grandson Gerrod (Jessica) and great grandchildren Witten and Harper of Wellington, CO; granddaughter Jamie Anderson of Pagosa Springs, CO; grandson Ted Triplett (Lindsey) and great grandchildren Savannah and Jaeden of Farmington; grandson-in-law Chad VanBuskirk and great grandchildren Miller and Colin of Sioux Falls, SD; brothers Kenneth of NC; Ronny of TX; Sonny of KY; sisters Joann Brooks and Joyce Robinson of TX and Judy Herfurth of MO.

A memorial service will be held at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute Street, Farmington, NM  87401, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June15 with burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Larry Anderson, Gerrod Anderson, Witten Anderson, Bill Eaves, Ted Triplett and Joel Lippe.
