Eleanor Jean Talamante

May 5, 1964 — February 22, 2024

Farmington

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eleanor Jean Talamante, 59, who left Mother Earth with her husband and love of her life by her side on February 22, 2024, in Farmington, NM. Eleanor was born to Alice and Yazzie Mason on May 5, 1964, at Brother in Christ Mission in Blanco, NM. She was born to Ashįįhí (Salt Clan People) and Hasht ł ‘ishnii (Mud Clan People).

Eleanor loved life, loved everyone she met, and was well loved by many in return. We will miss our beautiful gift from God's heart - her radiant smile, our conversations, the laughter and humor - but we know our joy will continue in a sacred, spiritual way. Her family is deeply heartbroken and eternally grateful to Jesus for our sister's life and the many lovely memories our sister left us with. We will hold her beautiful way in our hearts forever.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her dad, Yazzie; brothers, Leroy, David, and Victor; nephews, Triston Eaton and Kyle Mason; aunt, Lil Monroe; maternal grandparents, Peter and Mary John; and paternal grandparents, Dorothy Mason and Mason Billy.

She is survived by her husband Mike Talamante; mother Alice Mason; son Aaron (Cristina) Talamante, daughter Rebekah Talamante, bonus son Ryan (Erin) Browning; siblings, Priscilla (Terry) Mason, Tom (Cheryl) Mason, Cornelia Eaton, and Elliott (Desiree) Mason; Talamante siblings, Salomon (Corine) Talamante, Rosalie Maestas, Sylvia (Tony) Carbone, Johnny Talamante, and Machell (Donny) Valencia; Talamante grandchildren, Reina, Elias, and Baby Aaron. She spent many precious moments with her nieces and nephews Philana, Phillip, Jr., Philo, Nicole, April, Myles, Euryon, Alanis, Cody, Micheal, Justin, Dariusse, Eli, Raymus and Mariah Lewis, Alicia; and Athena, Aurora, Devin and Gage who she called her grandchildren; plus numerous nieces and nephews on the Talamante side.

Eleanor loved Jesus and her love was unconditional and her family was a deep part of her heart. She was our cheerleader, an encouraging daughter, sister, cousin, auntie and a friend to all who crossed her path. She touched many lives and has left us with extraordinary memories.

There will be a viewing held Tuesday February 27, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Brewer Lee & Larkin Funeral Home 103 E Ute St Farmington, NM
