David Hinson 69, of Farmington was born January 1st 1955 to Natalie Irving and David Lee Hinson in Clovis NM. David was called home to his lord and savior Jesus Christ November 9th. David peacefully passed with his wife and 2 daughters by his side.
David grew up between Levelland Texas and Farmington NM where he met the love of his life Susan (Fitz). David and Susan were married 2 days out of high school and spent over 50 years together until his very last breathe. David and Susan shared 2 daughters together (Ariel VerHaar and Marcy Hinson) who were his pride and Joy. David was the owner of Southland Oilfield services in Farmington; his passion in life was truly the oilfield.
David enjoyed boating at Navajo Marina with family fishing all day and night. David also loved spending time with his grandchildren weather it be shooting guns or teaching them to fish. His grandchildren will remember David for his elaborate stories of his days in Texas on their family farm. David will be remembered as a loving husband who always supported his wife in her business ventures of floral decorating, as an amazing father and grandfather.
David was preceded in Death by his mother Natalie Robinson (Don Robinson), Father David Lee Hinson, Sister Cathy Primrose and brother Terry Hinson.
David was survived by his wife Susan Hinson, daughter’s Ariel VerHaar (Cory), Marcy Hinson (Ryan White) and grandchildren, Axel Ray VerHaar, Tiger Stradling and Presley VerHarr.
Family would like to thank Riceland Home Hospice for their amazing care and comfort, specifically his Nurse Abby.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
